And now, I need to introduce you to my creators, the two people who brought me into the world and gave me a face, a name, some attitude, a life – everything. What, you’re not thinking I am real, are you?

The face of Tutu came first – no name, no character, just this pretty face with puffy red lips and wide set eyes, wearing pretty clothes and doing normal stuffs every girl in the city does. She loves shopping and mega sales, she reads fashion magazines, looks smart at work, and impresses her man with sexy lingerie – that is, if she had a man, he would be impressed.

And then, the girl was given a name. Tutu. From there, her life began to unfold.

Tutu Incorporated is the fusion of words and images, of colors and stories. It is about dreams, and having the space to realize them.

The Writer: Shu

She used to write letters to everyone – her parents, her sisters, her friends, her boyfriends, her lecturers, etc. When she was 6, she was caught exchanging letters with a friend and the teacher was looked worried because every letter started with “I Love You”. But in fact, the two little girls had no idea what the words meant. Today, she writes more emails than letters, but nothing can beat the feeling of penning words down on paper. However, she’s been buying notebooks because they look nice, not because she plans to write in them. In the day, she plays Interior Designer. She likes colors, shapes, graphics and photographs. She believes that everything is beautiful and has its place in space; it all depends on how they are put together. Fashion wise, she is into Bohemian chic and funky street wear. Dressing up and looking good is part of her “feel good” process. Lately, she’s been window shopping online, but she said it was more for me (Tutu) than herself. Writing is not her night job. Writing is what she does best. She writes better than she speaks. Writing is how she communicates to the world. Writing is natural for her. It is not about hoping to become a writer or wanting to publish a book (though that would be great too); writing is her, that’s all.

The Illustrator: Jess

Website: www.jessicawongillustration.com

Jess has been drawing since she learnt to hold pencils. At 4, she impressed her own parents with her doodles. In her schooldays, she excelled in art subject and was her art teacher’s favorite; She just couldn’t stop her artist’s hand from, well, drawing.

However, like most of the "A" students, she opted for a "safe" degree and ended up as a professional working in the corporate world. Her passion for art and design did not just stop there, in fact it grew even stronger as the corporate life gets tougher. With some gifted talent and lots of persistence and determination, Jessica continuously develops her illustration and design skills. A
t last, Jessica has finally made a somewhat tough, but clear, decision to leave the corporate world to work as a freelance illustrator.

Illustrating is more than her passion. She aspires to become a well-known fashion illustrator one day! Her style is chic and feminine, focused on fashion, people and lifestyle. Her lines are clean, her palette cheerful, and she is just so meticulous with details.

In terms of fashion, she can be funky or really simple. And she cannot have enough of bags! But as much as she loves shopping for her wardrobe, these days she also shops for me (Tutu) since she’s my fashion stylist too!
